November 2020
Hello November
Dear Families,
I would like to wish everyone a happy, healthy, safe and blessed Thanksgiving! I am so grateful for all your continued support and appreciate all the kindness that your children offer me everyday.
Thank you again for purchasing the 1/2 square graph paper notebooks. They have made a world of difference with math and organizing their problems.
I understand at this time people and places are continually asking for donations. Only if you have the ability and are willing to purchase some items, there is a need in our class. After Christmas in science, with the help of parent volunteers who are constructing the frame of our system, we will be comparing growing plants in soil verses growing plants in a aquaponics system.
The students will help in building certain parts of the system and maintaining the aquaponics system. They will learn all the maintenance that goes with running a aquaponics system. The industry of Agriculture and food production is a billion dollar business and projected to be a trillion dollar industry when our children grow up.
I have already purchased a lot of the material we will need to run the system. However, ONLY if your able to buy some items, I have listed below a few more things I need. All the items can be purchased at Home Depot or Amazon.
Greenhouse Mini Trays that hold peat pellets. Enough to grow at least 40 plants
Seeds: Tomato, Cucumber, Yellow Summer Squash, Basil, Peppers, or Strawberries
If you have any questions please email me at
Have a blessed day,
Mrs. Panagis
